Video - History of Coleham Pumping Station by Ian Cooper. here

The Shrewsbury Steam Trust is a voluntary organisation that maintains the machinery and mans the engines, boiler and other exhibits on the open days. We rebuild small machinery, keep the building and it's environs tidy as well as maintain and run the massive beam engines and cornish boiler.

We meet at least once a week throughout the year. Extra days are scheduled as they are needed. Volunteers do not have to attend all the days - even just a few days assistance during the year will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you. No previous experience is required - just the willingness to get involved and drink lots of tea!

Membership is open to all and it's great value at just £12 (individual) per year. You can support the museum and join up. Download the membership form to post back to us here.
